Peter B. Doyle,
President and CEO, co-founded Kinetics Asset Management, Inc., in early 1996. He is responsible for overseeing investment decisions for the entire family of Kinetics Mutual Funds. From 1988 through late 1994, Mr. Doyle was an Investment Officer in Bankers Trust Company's Investment Services Group, where he was responsible for managing approximately $250 million in assets. During his tenure at Bankers Trust, Peter served on the Finance and Utility research sub-groups and had analytical responsibility for the REIT sector. In 1994, he co-founded and is presently Managing Director of Horizon Asset Management, Inc.
Mr. Doyle received a Masters of Business Administration from Fordham University and a Bachelors of Science in economics from St. John's University.
Leonid Polyakov
is the Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder of Kinetics Asset Management, Inc. Mr. Polyakov previously held the position of Vice President at JP Morgan Asset Management and has also held various technology and management positions at several financial software development companies.
Mr. Polyakov holds a Masters of Business Administration in finance from New York University and a Master of Science in applied mathematics from Kharkov University, Ukraine.
Lawrence P. Doyle
is Chairman and a Co-Founder of Kinetics Asset Management, Inc. in 1996, and also serves in that role for several affiliated entities. Previously, Mr. Doyle was First Vice President and Regional Manager for Janney Montgomery Scott from 1992 – 2000, responsible for managing the Northeast Region and 250 employees. Prior to Janney Montgomery Scott, Mr. Doyle worked for the American Stock Exchange and Merrill Lynch and also served on the New York Stock Exchange Disciplinary Committee from 1994 to 2000.
Mr. Doyle received his Master of International Studies from SUNY Empire State College in 1992 and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Pace University in 1980.
Jay H.
Kesslen
is General Counsel for Kinetics Asset Management, Inc., and is responsible for all legal and regulatory activities. Mr. Kesslen has significant experience with the rules and regulations governing the investment management industry, and is a licensed securities representative responsible for compliance and regulatory matters involving two affiliated broker-dealers.
Mr. Kesslen holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School.
Russell Grimaldi
is Assistant General Counsel of Kinetics Asset Management, Inc. In addition to assisting the General Counsel, Mr. Grimaldi is responsible for business development and management of key direct marketing distribution relationships and private label mutual fund accounts. Mr. Grimaldi is also a registered securities representative.
Mr. Grimaldi holds a Bachelor of Arts in legal studies from Quinnipiac University and a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School.
